Fed: Journos go public about Costello to defend their integrity=2

BRISSENDEN's conceded he got the date of the dinner wrong when he broadcast the story
on ABC TV last night.

Mr COSTELLO's pointed out the mistake about which month in 2005 the meal with the three
journalists took place.

BRISSENDEN says although the date in his notes was wrong the dinner still clearly took place.

BRISSENDEN says he and the other journalists present had the same recollection of what
Mr COSTELLO said at the dinner.
