Fed: Johns warns against ABC cuts
CANBERRA, Feb 7 AAP - ABC managing director Brian Johns said today that the national
broadcaster's proposed $67.5 million online deal with Telstra should not be used as an
excuse for future budget cuts.
The ABC and Telstra are negotiating a five-year deal to run ABC news and other services
on the telstra.com web site, with a share of any future advertising revenue also going
to the ABC.
