SA: Ford adds to Territory line-up
ADELAIDE, Aug 31 AAP - Ford Australia has added a mid-range model to its Territory range.
The Territory TS completes the line-up for the company's crossover model which was
developed at a cost of more than $500 million.
It has sold strongly since introduction to the local market in June and was the country's
top selling sports utility vehicle in July.
The Territory range now starts with the base model TX, includes the TS and finishes
with the up-market Ghia version.
All three are available as either rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive.
Ford Australia president Tom Gorman said Territory buyers were getting the vehicle
dynamics of a sedan, the versatility of a traditional sports utility vehicle and the interior
flexibility of a people mover.
"When we sat down to build Territory, one thought uppermost in the minds of everybody
was to ensure the vehicle was true to the Ford philosophy of providing outstanding value
for money," Mr Gorman said.
Territory TS features include side curtain airbags, alloy wheels, dual zone climate
control air-conditioning, an upgraded sound system and cruise control with controls on
the steering wheel.
Prices for the TS have been set at $44,790 for the rear-wheel-drive and $48,790 for
the four-wheel-drive.
Territory prices start from $38,990 for the TX, rear-wheel-drive.
So far this year Ford has sold 4,099 cars in the Territory range including 1,681 in July.
