OLY: Phil Coles to quit hotel consultancy

SYDNEY, Jan 12 AAP - Sydney Olympics organising committee (SOCOG) director Phil Coles
resigned today as a consultant with a hotel company involved with the 2000 Games, but denied
any conflict of interest.
Mr Coles, who is also one of two Australian members of the International Olympic Committee,
said he had not been paid for his advisory role with Thakral Holdings and did not know whether
any money would be forthcoming.
